A staunch member of the UNILORIN49+, Prof Olatunji has been described as “many individuals rolled into one [who] can therefore be described from many angles of experience – as a sound academic, a proficient clinician, a devout Christian, a devoted husband, a dedicated father, a motivational speaker, and a committed activist.”

It was also noted that “these different attributes jostle for recognition, and indeed many observers may be undecided which parameter to establish as his mainstay or his most accomplished gift to community and to humanity. Remarkably, Professor Olatunji is as distinguished and outstanding in one as he is in the other, and in all together.”

On Tuesday May 19, there was an outpouring of tributes, as hundreds of friends, colleagues and admirers participated in an international zoom celebration in honour of the academic and activist icon.
